If you run a business or in leadership position you might have read John C. Maxwell’s 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership or probably Sun Tsu- The Art of War among others.

But are you aware of films that can teach you more about leadership? In these films you see all principles of leadership; planning, directing, coordinating, delegating, organizing, commanding and controlling and how the leaders in these films applied them in the matters of life and death and where the destinies of nations were at stake.

1.     FURY (2014)
I know most folk have not seen it yet, Brad Pitt's Fury (2014) which of on tank warfare. With a single Tank named Fury they faced a whole German army.

6.     PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN
To get the leadership ingredient in Pirates of the Caribbean, you have to forget Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) and his antics. The film is Walt Disney franchise-ship warfare.
·        Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)
·        Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006)

·        Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011)

7.     PEAR HABOUR (2001)
This film shows why America join in the Second World War and that famous speech of Franklin D. Roosevelt, let me share a short piece of that with you as I take my leave.
An aspect of that speech is often repeated by one senior Ghanaian journalist; I leave the guessing for you to do.

THE SPEECH

How long is America going to pretend the world is not at war…
We’ve been train to think we are invisible…
While our people think Hitler and his Nazi thugs are Europe’s problem..
Does any one thing that victory is possible without facing danger?

In times like this we all need to be remembered of who we truly are, WE WILL NOT GIVE UP
December 7th 1941.... a date which will leave in infamy..
The United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by the empire of Japan.

We are at war!!
Tell that to the soldiers who today are hitting hard in the far waters of the pacific
Tell that to the boys in their flying fortresses
Tell that to the marines!!
