GHANA MOVIE AWARDS 2013 OVERVIEW

Momentum to the 2013 Ghana Movie Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre on Monday 30^th started building slowly and gradual. Then came the rain consuming some of the standing post, the stars were sparkling among the audience and smiling to the flash of the cameras. More with pics http://www.ghanafilmindustry.com/

Ladies in giant heels and shortie welcome you with magazine as you walk towards the main hall. When the time was up, Funny Face and Bennie Blanco were introduced as the MC to kick start the show. 

The two fellas, Majid and Dumelo played some antics before starting with the first set of nominees. A category for Screenwriters was created in honour of Prof. Kofi Awoonor.  There were some comedians who pop to get the audience laughing, including Papa Spirit; his jokes failed to catch fire. Bisa K’dei showers some performance. A Plus was on stage not singing but playing tricks with his card of jokes. 

I guess the Speech of the Night goes to Lil Wyne, a sing song speech with meaning. Jocelyn Dumas couldn’t keep her composure she came close to tears. Laila and Shirley sharing an award was breath taking.

There was no dramatic end to the awards so I leave you here to enjoy some of the pics of the night and list of the award winners. The critical analysis of the movie awards is still being prepared not fully cooked yet.
