Property
to be inherited solely put in the hands of the elderly sister to manage was
enough to spark anger, hatred, revenge, bloodbath that brought the daggers
falling on all fronts.
Following
the death of Mr Ampah (Abeiku Seigoe) his will was read out, leaving all his
estate and business empire for managing in the care of his elder daughter
Michelle (Jackie Appiah.)
The
decision didn’t sit well with the younger sister Ayah (Shaznay Okawa) who set
out to hatch a series of schemes and conspiracies to become the sole inheritor.
But Michelle being the elderly sister was too a master at the games of schemes
and plots.
In
the shadows lurks Dessler (Yvonne Nelson) the trusted secretary of the late Mr.
Ampah, her blood was swollen with revenge for the past wrong done to her father
by the late Mr. Ampah. She aimed at beating Michelle and Ayah at their games to
take over the business empire of Mr. Ampah.
The
plot has been set for a big show down between the sisters. In this battle of
who gets to the top, the guys and boyfriends were no match for the sisters.
They were just murdered like rats; used as baits; some shot, others poisoned.
Just
when you thought all cards are on the table, another twist to saga pops up. The
plot thickens at every turn of event; greed, revenge, hatred, turf war, the use
of company power, influence and shares control to exert authority sweeps
through this film.
As
the story unfolds, it was Ayah, Michelle and Dessler, left standing. Hit men
were unleashed to finish Dessler so was Michelle whiles Ayah continues in her
crimes of poisoning.
In
the end, there was a split in the shares of the business empire, but I leave
you to guess between who and who.
If
there happens to be Sisters at War Book III, perhaps the ultimate sister will
emerge. The location and scenery in the
film was a spectacle, coming from Venus films you couldn’t ask for more.
Dialogue
in the film, I hate to say on point, but I guess it was.
Ayah
should have been named Ivy as the way she went on poisoning foes in the film.
Had she been named Ivy, she would have been made to exclaim to herself “I am
not called Ivy for nothing, I am Ivy Poison.”
Ayah
was busted, but it wasn’t so dramatic as compared to her crimes. It was by
accident not as a result of anybody’s’ planning or scheming.
You
chance on the guy, cut for jokes, Bismark, he was at it again.
Michelle’s
character; she was too intelligent. She should have been made to appear dump
and stupid to her sisters and spectators. But in the end show her true colours
of intelligence, schemes and plots.
Am
done, bye! Bye!
