Stars, as they have become
known to us are worshipped and loved by many. It is very easy to throw you
weight about, boast and claim; you are innocent of this form of adoration. But
before you make any such claims, pause and check out the five (5) ways and see
your guilty spot.
1. Pretending
Generally speaking, it is
a common knowledge that actors and actresses pretend in films to be what they
are not. A film fan of an actress will pretend to be that actress although the
fan is very much aware of her pretence being imaginary. The pretence come in many forms, it can be
the way the actress was seen eating in film, snob guys, relate to colleagues at
work or picked a fight with a neighbour.
2. Copying
This involves the
spectator having his appearance change to look like his favourite film star.
Take Nana Ama McBrown and
her journey with Caloriod in slimming down.
Those who admire her and
previously buxom will go for Calorad to be like her.
Vice versa those who are
fans for Lydia Forson and Jocelyn Ngissah will do Heavy Do (Down town
restaurant) to gain or maintain the pounds.
3. Resemblance
Where some resemblance is
share with the film star a spectator often identify her self with that star.
This resemblance can be facial, legs, hair style, continue the list for me if
you fall in this category. I have actually come across a guy who has even
adopted the name of his favourite film star because they share close resemblance.
4. Imitation
Spectators often imitate
particular quality or characteristic of the film star they love and adore. If
you spend your days or weekends watching so much films and happen to be a panel
at a film audition; you can easily spot which film star an aspiring actor or
actress is imitating.
5. Copying and Consumption
Film industry has a
merchandize industry that grows alongside. The Ghana film industry is yet to
explore and take advantage of its merchandize industry fully. Compare, in
football the merchandize industry comes with replicate jerseys, flags, hand
bands etc. Copy and consumption is wearing what your best actor or actress wears.
The kind of food he eats and the kind of place he visits. Strong fans of John
Dumelo would love to wear his Dmelo cloth lines.
So you now see where you
belong, if you haven’t spotted it yet, monitor yourself closely in relation to
films it would be obvious then. Despite the above exercise and still haven’t
found you mark yet. Then it clear you aren’t a hot head film fan; all the same,
goodbye from me to you and to the most definitely the gaga spectators.
