On all media platforms, it has been called the SEX TAPE, but I
will beg to differ. The circumstances surrounding Tiffany’s case shows a clear
case of REVENGE PORN. For the doubting Thomas’s, Wikipedia has this to say;
“Revenge porn is sexually explicit media that is publicly
shared online without the consent of the pictured individual. Revenge porn may
be uploaded by ex-partners to shame or embarrass the pictured individual, or by
hackers.”
Her situation brings to mind an African proverb saying, “If I
am related to the woodpecker, I would have bought him an axe.” Huge sympathy
goes out to Tiffany.
Tiffany’s ex- Frank Kwame Gambrah has already dipped his
finger in his mouth and swore by the clouds that he is innocent of the leaked
videos. But his innocence is heavily in doubt for most that have seen the
story.
In Ghana the law won’t be of any help to Tiffany, but in other
jurisdictions, she would have had her pound of flesh. Our man at Wikipedia has
this to say;
“Until relatively recently victims of revenge porn were left
helpless. This began to change in the US recently with states jumping on the
bandwagon of criminalizing revenge porn. Twelve states have expressly
applicable laws to revenge porn: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia,
Maryland, New Jersey, Idaho, Pennsylvania, Utah, Virginia, and Wisconsin.”
Tiffany on the other hand, had shown some level, she apologize
to anyone who has been offended by those videos, forgive her ex-husband, begged
for privacy and call on others for humanity sake not to share the videos. You’ve
earn my respect Tiff, peace-am out.
